London isn't exactly known as a quiet and retiring city, so visitors won't be short of options if they fancy getting a drink or two before the game. Some choices are a little closer to the ground here, though. The Bricklayer’s Arms The Bricklayer's Arms is an excellent little pub that has a vast beer garden, shows pretty much all sports on large screens, and is close to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The only thing to bear in mind is that it is very much a pub for the home team's supporters. Address: 803 High Road, Tottenham, N17 8ER (0208 801 4728). Elbow Room A popular pub that specializes in offering a great atmosphere and showing football matches on a match day. It's another pub that's close to the ground, so it is possible to find plenty of Spurs fans here, though guests should be able to enter if they are an away supporter as long as they don't support one of the main rivals of the North London club. Address: 503-505 High Road, N17 6QA (0208 801 8769). The Nags Head Wood Green This is a little further afield than the other two pubs on the list, but visitors will be guaranteed entry no matter which team they support, and they will also find good drinks, tasty food, and live sports on offer here. Address: 203 High Road, Wood Green, N22 6DR (0208 889 0376).
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been designed from the outset for multi-use. The structurally engineered fully retractable pitch is the first for any stadium in the UK – to ensure that the football-playing surface is always in its best condition. Underneath the grass field is a synthetic grass surface that can be used for NFL games and other events. This innovative solution also allows greater flexibility in the scheduling of games, reducing the setup time required to prepare the ground for other activities.
